New found friends in Santander: Anna-Katharina (Germany)

Like we had known each other for years

The thing I liked most about the four days in Spain was the time we spent on the beach in Santander. The weather was good so we lay down near the water.  While some of us started to tan in the sun some others were brave enough to swim in the really chilly sea. The time went by slowly and we enjoyed our free time together. When some Spanish, English and German students came out of the water we started to build a sandcastle on one student’s stomach and took some pictures. We chatted together, relaxed together and laughed together, it didn’t matter that we all came from different countries and spoke different languages. For me, this day was touching because I could see that some of us found new friends. The reason we all met in Spain was to talk about what good manners are like.

When we were all together on the beach I could see the good manners of all students, everyone paid respect to others and each student was friendly. I felt welcome in Santander and there was a good atmosphere during the whole project. It was like we had known each other for years and I enjoyed the time!
